Occupational and Physical Therapy for the Cleveland, OH Area

Now accepting outside referrals!

The physical and occupational therapists at Orthopaedic Associates, Inc. are highly trained in rehabilitative medicine. We have a strong track record of helping our patients to improve their physical abilities and recover from injuries through non-surgical treatments, including occupational and physical therapy.

Physical abilities can deteriorate without injury, most commonly through aging, disease, or environmental factors. If you are in pain or physically injured, our skilled physical therapists will help you quickly get on the path to recovery.

Treatment Process

We will identify and analyze your injury in our well-equipped diagnostics center. From there, you will be presented with a treatment plan that may include a combination of surgery, occupational or physical therapy, and other treatments, based on your needs. Our goal is to provide robust care that allows you to get back to life as soon as possible.

Using specially designed exercises and equipment, the therapists at our office restore function following an injury or surgery. Through ongoing therapy, pain is reduced and the body is strengthened in order to prevent future injury.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy specifically contributes to the management of osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) symptoms. Depending on your condition, various physical therapy modalities may be utilized during treatment. This commonly includes traction, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ice and heat, and therapeutic exercise and manual therapy.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists are trained to be proficient in the treatment of hand and upper extremity pathologies. At Orthopaedic Associates, we have two specially trained and certified hand therapists who have received additional training specialized for hand therapies. It is very rare to find these skilled professionals in an independent medical facility. Therefore, our therapists regularly treat patients with arthritis, fractures, tendon injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and repetitive motion disorder. The result decreases pain, improves range of motion, and helps with strength.
